Peter is leading the walk on Saturday, starting at 10am from the Discovery Centre in Rothesay and walking to Ettrick Bay by Gortans and Tramway. It's an easy-moderate 6 miles with regular hourly buses back from Ettrick Bay. Bring a snack and drink, and suitable clothing for the weather.

Walk Saturday 14th May 2022
Barbara is leading the walk this Saturday, starting at 10am from the Discovery Centre in Rothesay, over the Meadows and up Barone Hill, then back to Rothesay via Loch Fad. It's an easy/moderate 6 miles. Bring something to eat and drink, plenty of cafes in Rothesay at the end of the walk. Please dress suitably for the weather and terrain.

Walk for Saturday 7th May 2022
Hi, I owe you a walk for last weekend - I trust this will tick the boxes. We catch the 9:45 am bus S from Guilford Square to Kilchattan. We take the Kelspoke path at St. Blane's Hotel, cutting off up the field track to go south along the ridge above the Upper Reservoir. We then cut down to the ford across the Glen Callum Burn below Bruach nan Caorach, and follow the diagonal path up to the south end of Torr Mor summit ridge. From there we head north along the ridge to the junction with the West Island Way just north of St. Blane's Church. We head down the hill towards the route to the Suidhe, but turn of to the left, heading for Kingarth, where the walk ends. Walkers are advised to take walking poles, a jumper, a packed lunch and drink. (The Kingarth Hotel should be open, where you can buy food and drink, but caution says don't take it for granted.) There is a regular bus back to Rothesay every hour. Hoping to see you there.

Walk Saturday 30th April 2022
Jim has cancelled his plan for a longer off-island walk due to the forecast of rain. However Margaret will lead a walk on Saturday extending the Mount Stuart ParkRun/Walk to The Kingarth Hotel for lunch via Kerrytonlia and the Bay at Kilchattan. Please remember that Mount Stuart require us all to register for the parkrun/walk
