Alternative walk for Saturday 15th October 2022
Paul A has very kindly offered to lead a short walk from Port Bannatyne to Ettrick Bay via the tramway and back, meeting at 10am by the toilets at the Port Bannatyne bus terminus. There will be a table top sale at the village hall in Port Bannatyne from 11-3, so opportunities to shop for bargains, get some refreshments, try some soup, and then go to the Anchor for more liquid refreshment!

Walk 24th September 2022
Here is a brief synopsis of Saturday's walk from the leader.
After the bus ride in, the ramble is a 3-4 hour walk that is mainly on good road & track with one longish uphill stretch. However, there is a section 2 mi into the walk where it changes to a steep up-and-down path cut into the rock of the Sron na Carraige (the Broken Nose), followed by shingle beach and muddy woodland track before it reaches the Caladh road. We should have about an hour in Tighnabruaich before the bus back.
