Millport and Cumbrae 9am ferry from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay, bus to Largs and ferry to Cumbrae to catch the bus to Millport and walk to Fintray Bay, returning by a different route back to Millport and the bus to the ferry to Largs, bus to Wemyss Bay and ferry to Rothesay. Bring a picnic. 5 miles, easy, led by Harry (07801 946643). Meet in the ferry terminal at Rothesay but do not purchase tickets until the walk leader indicates that the walk will go ahead.

Walk for Thursday 10th September 2026
Ormidale to Tighnabruaich. Meet 9am at Chapel Hill car park for car sharing via 9.40 Rhubodach ferry to drive to Ormidale and then walk to Tighnabruaich, and catch the 15.09 bus back from Tighnabruaich to the cars at Ormidale junction. 16.00 ferry return. Please note that the middle section of this walk is hard due to the uphill and poor track conditions, 6.5 miles. Worth the effort for spectacular views. Poles recommended. Bring a packed lunch. Cafes at Tighnabruaich at the end of the walk. Pickups on the way to Rhubodach ferry can be arranged. Please contact the leader, Martin (07757 625494), in advance to ensure a place in a car.

River walk Loch Fyne Car sharing via Rhubodach ferry to drive to Loch Fyne for a walk alongside the river and refreshments at the Loch Fyne Brewery. Return to Loch Fyne for shopping, cafe etc. Meet 9am at Chapel Hill car park for car sharing to catch the 9.40 ferry from Rhubodach. 5 miles, easy, led by Wendy (07752 251915) - please contact the leader a few days in advance to ensure a place in a car.
