Bute Ramblers barbecue and walks 2024

On a warm sunny day, two walks led to the barbecue at Patrick and Janet's. Harry led a walk from Moss Wood to Port Bannatyne via the West Island Way, and Barbara led a more leisurely walk from Rothesay to the barbecue. A wonderful time was had by all, special thanks to our hosts and to our chefs.

The Scottish Gathering on Bute

26-29 April 2024 saw the Scottish Gathering on Bute, with 120 rambler's from all over Scotland enjoying a fantastic weekend's walking and socialising on the island.

Barbecue 27th August 2022

Pat and Janet hosted our annual barbecue in wonderful sunny weather after a short walk from Rothesay to Port Bannatyne on the West Island Way. A very sociable day was enjoyed by all.

Barbecue 9th October 2021

Too wet for a walk, but not too wet for a barbecue. Thanks to Wendy for the shopping and lots of preparation, Pat and Janet for the use of their garden, and the trusty gazebo, we all stayed dry if not warm enjoying our barbecue goodies, salads and cakes. A good time was had by all.
