Walk for Saturday 11th June 2022
Harry is leading this walk. It's not the one that was on the programme, but still taking the 9am ferry to Wemyss Bay. The walk is 5.3 miles long mainly on well formed paths and some paved sections. It is an Inverclyde Ramblers Walk and featured in the Sunday Herald last year. It is easy with one uphill section at the Kelly Burn. This path can be muddy in places but they say trainers are fine. Take a drink and something to eat. There are cafes at Wemyss Bay at the end.
Please note strong winds are forecast for the weekend which may affect ferry sailings. Harry suggests we meet at the ferry as planned but don't buy tickets until a decision is made. If cancellations likely, he will do a short easy walk - the Meadows, Lovers Lane, WIW to Port Bannatyne, Gortans and promenade back to Rothesay with the option to finish at the Port.
