Our last walk for 2024, Barone Hill. 10am from the Discovery Centre to walk up Barone Hill and to Loch Fad before returning to Rothesay. An easy 5 miles, gentle climbs, good views (weather permitting) led by Barbara (07412 447676).

Walk and Christmas lunch on Saturday, 14th December 2024
Rothesay to Kingarth. 9.30am from the Discovery Centre, Rothesay, to walk via Loch End and the Moor Road, to the Kingarth Hotel for Christmas lunch. An easy 7 mile walk led by Paul (07541 080332).

Walk for Tuesday 10 December 2024
The Walk on Tuesday 10th December is Kaim Hill Circular starting and finishing at Fairlie Station. It is 6.6 miles on hill paths. There is a short section on open moor. Given the recent weather it will be a bit wet underfoot so boots or good wellies are essential. The weather forecast is for a dry but cold day so bring warm clothing and an extra layer. Gloves are essential. There will be super views and we will pass an old mill stone quarry and a rock with cup and ring markings. We will be Car sharing and meet in Chapel Hill Car Park at 8:30 am. Rothesay to Port Bannatyne and return. 10am from the Discovery Centre, Rothesay, to walk via the West Island Way to Port Bannatyne, and return by the shore road. (Return by bus from Port Bannatyne also possible). 5 miles, easy, led by Barbara (07412 447676).
