Walk for Tuesday 8th July 2025
Loch Fad, WIW, Cnocnicol wood, Ascog Hill, Serpentine 10am from the Discovery Centre, Rothesay, to walk to Loch Fad, then via the West Island Way to Cnocnicol wood, Ascog Hill, and return to Rothesay via the Serpentine. 8 miles, moderate, led by Harry (07801 946643).

Walk for Saturday 5th July 2025
Tarbert Seafood Festival and walk Meet at 7.45am at Chapel Hill car park for car sharing to catch Rhubodach ferry at 8.10. Drive to Portavadie approx 50 mins, park cars. Go as foot passengers on Portavadie ferry at 9.30 as they are every hour only. Arrive Tarbert 10am for key events of food festival. Cafe C'dora for coffee/breakfast, then seafood festival and street market. Seafood demonstration in harbour. Afternoon various walk options, white beach short easy walk preferred but can add any one of the 3 loops above the castle if time allows. Portavadie ferry home, probably 4 or 5pm and return to Rothesay. Contact the leader, Martin, on 07757 625494 to arrange car sharing beforehand.

Walk for Saturday, 28th June 2025
South End Loop - 9.45 bus from Guildford Square to Kilchatten. Starting with reverse West Island way route up past Suidhe Hill but cutting off before St Blanes to walk along Tor Mor Ridge then down towards Loch na leigh before walking back to Kilchattan via Glen Calum Bay. Moderate route but a bit of climbing on this one, particularly at the start of the walk. 6 miles and about three hours walking, plus time for packed lunch. We are well into the season for ticks so plenty of insect repellent recommended. 6 miles, moderate, led by Peter (07925 464035).
