This Saturday is the Bute Ramblers walk-in Christmas lunch at the Ettrick Bay cafe at 12 noon. (£13.50 a head and BYOB if desired). Not too late to book! Still places available if you contact JimC (07732648252) or Wendy by Friday. REINDEER PARKING AVAILABLE.
The walk starts at 10.30am from Lovely Cottage, Gortans Road, and follows the West Island Way and Tramway to arrive at Ettrick Bay in time for lunch at 12 noon.

Survey for Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is carrying out a review of the Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme on behalf of the Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme Joint Committee.
The purpose of the review is to examine all options for the Scheme’s future financial sustainability that will continue to achieve the Scheme’s objectives for improving access for older and disabled people living in the Strathclyde region and for island communities.

Walk for Saturday 12th December 2020
The walk will be an easy four mile (approximately) circular coastal walk on Colintraive. Some of you will have done part of the route if you were on Jim Campbell's walk on Saturday 7 November 2020. It will be a relaxed stroll along the coastal road (B886) taking approximately two hours, finishing at the Colintraive Hotel for refreshments.
The bus on the outward journey to Rhubodach leaves Guildford Square at 10.15 am and on return leaves Rhubodach at 13.40 pm and 16.40 pm.
Please bring a cash card as Calmac Ferries are not accepting cash. Masks are also required.
Walking conditions should be good as we are walking on the coastal road. There may be a few puddles on the way which will only add to the excitement. Good boots recommended.
Please bring a drink and packed lunch.

Walk for Saturday 5th December 2020
10.15 bus from Guildford Sq. North to Rhubodach and walk back to Port Bannatyne via West Island Way. The walk is likely to be very wet underfoot and gaiters, poles and warm drink recommended. 7 miles, very hilly, moderate to strenuous. Picnic. Half hourly bus from Port Bannatyne back to Rothesay. Walk for Saturday 28th November 2020
Saturday walk for 28 November will start 10am at Discovery centre. Following West Highland Way past Gartnakelly to Port Bannatyne then down Tramway to Ettrick with option of walking along the bay and back before getting bus back to town. Forecast for Saturday is cold but dry. Initial steep climb out of Rothesay, thereafter easy walking along good paths.
