Welcome to Bute Ramblers Saturday walks for 2022. There is no plan to put out a walk programme till the current pandemic spike is past. So we'll continue to plan and post walks at present on a weekly basis. Suggestions for walks are always welcome via text to the Bute Ramblers phone. This week's Ramblers walk, weather-permitting, is a 7 mi moderate circuit from Kilchattan via the Plan Road, Creag a Chlaideimh and the West Island Way reversed, led by Jim. We catch the 9:45 am bus S from Guildford Square. Suitable boots, a wind and shower-proof jacket, a packed lunch and a hot drink, and a personal first-aid kit are a necessity; walking poles and gaiters are strongly advised. See you all on the bus.
Walkers are advised to take walking pole(s) and gaiters, personal First Aid kit, insect repellent, a drink, face covering for cafes and public transport. Please note that you need to register for the walk before-hand by texting name, phone number and membership number (if a member) to the Bute Ramblers phone (07516373584) as the Ramblers regulations on covid-avoidance still hold.
Walk leaders, please remember to complete a risk assessment for your walk (available here as a pdf ). If you complete an electronic copy, you can email the the completed form to Bute Ramblers (
