In order to alleviate some members concerns, there is now a replacement Saturday walk, led by Jim. As there is a possibility of morning fog, the walk is an on-island 9 miler on the flat. We catch the 9: 45 bus south to Kingarth Police Station. It's then along the coast past Bruchag Point to the Kerry coastal path along the edge of Mount Stuart. From the North entrance we go up the Kerrycroy Burn and cross the main road to Knocknicol Wood and the WIW. We then follow the WIW to Loch Fad, taking the route thru the Meadows back into Rothesay to a convenient cafe. For the walk you need packed lunch and a drink, a walking pole is advised, and take a shower jacket just in case. See you all, hopefully, on this last Ramblers walk of the year. Walkers are advised to take walking pole(s) and gaiters, personal First Aid kit, insect repellent, a drink, face covering for cafes and public transport. Please note that you need to register for the walk before-hand by texting name, phone number and membership number (if a member) to the Bute Ramblers phone (07516373584) as the Ramblers regulations on covid-avoidance still hold.
