Some amendments to the advertised route for the 7 farms due to an obstruction found on the recce. Now starting at 10am from Lovely Cottage, Ardbeg, walking up the Gortans and then taking the WIW thru to the Tramway, continuing on up thru West St Colmac, around the hill to Lower Ettrick, right along the Glenmore Rd to Upper Ettrick, Kilbride and  Achavoulaig, over the hill to Kildavannan, finishing at Ettrick Bay cafe. Return wil be by bus or Shank's pony. Bring your own sandwiches or hang on till the cafe. The leader would advise gaiters and a pole as the section near Kildavannan Farm has some localized field run-off and mud. The time for the walk should be 7 miles/4 hours.
