Balnakeilly Loop to Ettrick Bay. Take the 10:15 bus north from Guildford Square to Rhubodach, walk Balnakeilly loop, Glenmore and end at the tearoom at Ettrick Bay, return from Ettrick Bay by public transport (hourly). 7 miles moderate. Bring something to eat and drink, wear suitable clothing, and don’t forget your ICE (in case of emergency) card. Picnic, cafe. Wemyss Bay Circular - 9am ferry to Wemyss Bay. The walk is mainly on well formed paths and some paved sections. One uphill section at Kelly Burn. This path can be muddy in places. Meet at ferry terminal - don’t buy your ticket until the leader advises the walk will go ahead. Picnic, cafe. A strenuous 5 mile walk in the North of Bute. Rhubodach to Kayak shelter to Maids of Bute via Community Forest path. Then to the Bull Loch followed by path to the West Island Way. Return to Rhubodach via Balnakeilly. Meet at West Kirk car park at 10:00 for car sharing. Contact leader, Harry, in advance to arrange car sharing on 07801946643.
